Thinkpad X60 Unboxing

Well, I have alluded to it before, but I finnally ordered an X60 tablet and it arrived (without warning) on Friday.  I have been checking the site I ordered from (http://costcentral.com) everyday now but it was always saying that it was backordered for 1 - 2 weeks.  I went to get the mail on Friday and I saw it sitting there on my porch!  That was a nice surprise.

I ordered the 6366 model.  It is the touch screen with 2 gigs or RAM, the embedded Verizon Wireless card, 120 Gig hard drive, and an included Ultrabase.  I was going back and forth between the high res screen and the touch screen but the touch screen model came with several other options that I wanted so I went with that.  Cost Central was the lowest cost I could find on the web but I am very happy with their service even though they did not update their tracking information, they were extremely fast.

Here are some unboxing photos for everyone.

Above: Here is the box that it came in.

I have played with the tablet a little, especially the Thinkvantage technologies software.  I just wanted to see what worked before I put Vista on the tablet.  I will give my first impressions soon.  But rest assured, my first impressions are better than I thought.
